I’m editorial director at Rowan & Rowan. I’m certified by the University of Chicago’s Graham School in editing and have worked with magazines, think tanks, news and commentary websites, and book publishers. I’ve done copy editing, fact checking, developmental editing, and book coaching and am always up for a new challenge.
I’m also a writer. As a 2024–25 Robert Novak Journalism Fellow at the Fund for American Studies, I completed a project on the idea of health in the MAHA and Ozempic era and have reported recently on artificial wombs, regenerative agriculture, techno-feminism, and breakfast cereal. To see more, check out my LinkedIn page.
I was raised on the Great Plains and now live in Washington, D.C., with Nic and our two daughters, with whom I graciously share my stock of printer paper and multicolored pens.
Nic
I am director at Rowan & Rowan. My work mainly consists of book doctoring, ghostwriting, and helping Hannah finish off big projects on a tight deadline. I specialize in helping writers realize their vision through conversation and attentive editing. My interests range widely: I have worked with political candidates, small business owners, public intellectuals, and many other authors from all walks of life.
My own writing specializes in long-form reporting. I have covered the effects of drone warfare in Ukraine, the latest frontiers of the wellness movement, and the history of assisted suicide.
I live five blocks from where I was born in Washington, D.C., with Hannah and our two daughters.
